Why do we keep failing to prevent mass atrocities and genocide?
In 2016, mass violence against millions of innocent men, women and children is still a reality faced by communities around the world.
Why does our post holocaust promise of “Never Again” fail to prevent the next Rwanda and Darfur despite well-intentioned efforts of activists, nonprofits and governments around the world? These central questions guide the work of The Nexus Fund, founded in 2012 to build a more effective model of preventing mass atrocities.
Mass atrocities can be stopped.
The Nexus Fund works directly with people and organizations on the front lines of prevention efforts around the world – human rights workers, peace builders, community leaders. Our strategy focuses on supporting on-the-ground local efforts by following 5 crucial steps: Listen, Support, Coordinate, Innovate and Reflect.
