Since 2012, we’ve had the immense privilege to work alongside local peacebuilders to create a better, safer world. None of this would have been possible without the tireless work of our partners, donors, and supporters.
Here’s a look at what we’ve been able to accomplish over the years:
Provided 130+ grants
...with an average grant size of ~ $7k
...For work in 40+ countries
...On 5 continents
...Totaling well over $1,000,000
Facilitated 42 civil society exchanges to enable leaders at the grassroots level to work with and learn from their peers around the world.
Championed the field of Dangerous Speech since 2013, hosting four international workshops with participants from 19 countries, and clarifying how to identify, monitor, and counter Dangerous Speech to prevent mass violence.
Hosted trainings around the U.S. with our partners at Project Over Zero to help local organizations and activists understand and combat the rampant hate and division we are seeing across our own country.
Funded and provided countless pro-bono, locally-led and locally-developed trainings and workshops for skills-building, education, and more.
Shed light on important issues through articles in The Washington Post and Crooked Media, and appearances on CNN International and Pod Save The World.
Produced a virtual reality film, Behind the Fence, which we showed to thousands of people across the U.S., as well as at the United Nations and the White House. The film helped to garner attention for the under-reported genocide of the Rohingya people in Myanmar, won the Grand Jury Prize at SXSW 2017, and was nominated for an Emmy.
Championed the strategy of supporting locally-led people and projects to address division and prevent mass violence.
And so much more.
